Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to APEC Studio. By accessing and using our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the use of our website and services. If you do not agree to these terms, we kindly ask you not to use our website.
2. Minimum Order Requirement
We require a minimum order of €300 for both painting/assembly projects and scenography projects. This amount excludes the cost of miniatures or materials, which are charged separately.
3. Assembly Services
We provide two options for assembling your miniatures:
Customer Assembly: You assemble the miniatures yourself.
APEC Studio Assembly: We take care of the assembly for you.
Our assembly service includes cleaning miniatures, removing flash, and putting together the different parts. Additional services are available for an extra charge, such as priming, mold line removal, drilling holes for cannons or exhaust tubes, gap filling with putty, and using specialized tools as required. We can also anchor parts if necessary.
4. Additional Services
We offer several extra services, including:
Magnets: €2.50 per weapon or piece
Pinning: €2.50 per anchor
Cannons & Exhaust Tubes: €2.50 per miniature
Mold Line Removal: €2.50 – €60.00 per miniature
Paint Stripping: €12.00 – €60.00 per miniature
Gap Filling with Putty: €4.00 – €45.00 per miniature
Freehand Designs: Price on request, depending on size and complexity.
We reserve the right to suggest additional services that could enhance the final appearance of your miniatures, provided we have prior approval from you.
5. Custom Bases
If you would like custom bases for your miniatures, we can craft them for you. Please note that custom or artisanal bases may incur an additional cost, which will be communicated before any work begins.
6. Movement Trays
We can create custom movement trays tailored to your regiments, with the right number of miniatures and base textures. The price of these trays depends on size and decoration. Additionally, we can magnetize the miniatures to the trays to prevent them from falling during gameplay. Prices will vary depending on tray and base size.
7. Filler Units
We can design custom fillers for your units, such as transforming a 10-orc unit into a 20-miniature formation. Each filler is unique and priced accordingly. Share your ideas with us, and we’ll provide a personalized quote.
8. Service Confirmation
To confirm a project, a deposit of 50% of the total cost is required. Once miniatures are purchased or reserved, the deposit is non-refundable, unless they have not yet been processed. No refunds will be issued if you decide to cancel or modify your order after work has started.
9. Requesting a Quote
To receive a quote, please provide information about the type of bases, the number of rows/columns, and the current assembly state of the miniatures. Once you approve the details, we will begin work on the project.
10. Payment
Payments can be made via bank transfer or PayPal. Full payment is required before shipping your miniatures, which includes shipping costs and any other possible fees (e.g., additional miniatures, freehands, or customs duties). You must complete payment within 30 days of the project's completion, or the project will be forfeited.
11. Communication and Feedback
Communication is crucial for the timely and successful completion of your project. We encourage regular updates and feedback throughout the process. If we do not receive feedback on time, the project may be delayed or paused. Your input ensures we stay on track and meet your expectations.
12. Miniature Purchases
You can either:
Purchase the miniatures yourself, or
Allow us to buy the miniatures for you (recommended).
We recommend purchasing the miniatures through us as it saves you time and shipping costs while ensuring everything is prepared before work begins. We do not charge a commission on miniatures, but their cost will be included in your quote.
13. Shipping and Packaging
Once your project is completed, we will securely ship your miniatures. The shipping fees depend on the destination:
Spain: Approximately €15
European Union/UK: Approximately €50
United States: Approximately €60-70
All shipments are sent via certified mail, and tracking details will be provided.
Packaging: Miniatures will be carefully wrapped with high-quality bubble wrap and sealed. Large orders are packed in multiple boxes, which are then placed in a larger box to prevent damage during shipping.
14. Liability
APEC Studio is insured to cover the value of your miniatures while in our care. However, once the miniatures are shipped, we are not responsible for any damage incurred during transit.
15. Delays
Typically, project completion takes between 3 and 10 months, depending on size and complexity. While we strive to meet deadlines, delays may occur due to material availability or other factors. We will keep you updated on any delays.
16. Replicating Past Projects
If you wish for us to recreate a previously completed project, we can do so. We maintain detailed records of color palettes and design schemes for these instances.
17. Bits and Components
Any additional parts purchased on behalf of the client, such as extra bits, are non-refundable unless specifically requested.
18. Changes to Terms
APEC Studio reserves the right to update or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any modifications will be communicated to customers at least 30 days in advance, ensuring ample time for review.
19. Use of Images
By agreeing to these terms, you give APEC Studio permission to use images of the completed miniatures for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media platforms, and other marketing materials. If you prefer not to have your miniatures featured, please let us know in writing.
